Plant Starts

Young plants that have already been germinated and are growing. They are usually sold in small nursery pots at farmer’s markets, nurseries, big box stores and even grocery stores. The buyer can usually take the plant home and immediately transplant it into their garden, although waiting a day or two in order to give the plant a chance to acclimate is advised.
