Water Deeply

Apply enough water so it soaks down into the root zone, not just the surface.

For most garden plants:
πŸ‘‰ about 6–12 inches deep

For trees:
πŸ‘‰ about 12–24 inches deep

Water slowly and long enough for moisture to reach the full root zone (not just the top layer of soil).

Light watering = wets the top inch

Deep watering = soaks down β†’ roots grow deeper β†’ stronger plant

Water slowly – Water less often – Let soil dry slightly between watering
